Paladin1: The Restoration of Gundahab

The files should be extracted to a newly created subdirectory called
\FRUA\PALADIN1.DSN. Also create another directory to hold saved games,
called \FRUA\PALADIN1.DSN\SAVE.

You are cast as the paladin leader of a group of adventurers. I think the
story itself is fairly self explanatory, so I'll just cover a few points.

The adventure uses first level characters, led by a paladin. The paladin
character represents you, and should be selected to perform most tasks. The
adventure itself is about as long as Heirs of Skull Crag, and will take the
party to about sixth level. Besides the usual experience gains, there are
numerous increases possible for completing sections of the adventure and
individually for the party leader.

There is some information that would be awkward to provide in text events
(due to length or need for possible later reference), so it will be necessary
to refer to the journal.txt file from time to time. If possible, print the
file so you do not have to exit the game to view it.

There are only a few sections where area view is available, but it is not
necessary to make detailed maps of everything you come across. This is
especially true of outdoor areas; a simple list of significant sites as you
travel along should be all you need for later reference.

Several sections require your party to accomplish tasks quickly, so there
is no rest available. This is another good reason why it is useful to keep
several save games covering different parts of the adventure in case of
mishap.

I project doing another module in this series covering the entire valley of
the river Linde, including the other member cities of the Merchant League,
which will continue with the same party started in this module.
